TUTORIALS

• Make sure you have a basic understanding of Photoshop in order to use these tutorials properly.
• Some of these tutorials may not work depending on what version of Photoshop you have.
• These tutorials were made using Photoshop CS4.

GLOSSY/SHINY TEXT

Some people like glossy or "shiny" text, such as below.

Here's how you can you make one.

1.Open a new document.

2.Use the text tool and type your text. (It would look best if you use a gradient on your text.)

3.Duplicate your text layer.

4.On the duplicated layer, use the circular or elipse selection tool.

5.Make a selection near the top half of your text.

6.Right-click on the selection and select Free Transform.

7.Make a slight/tiny adjustment so that you can half the sort of top half of the text selected.

8.Now use the brush tool and paint the selected part with white.

9.Now mess with the opacity of the layer. (I put mine near 15-25.)

10.Press Ctrl+D to deselect and merge the layers down.

11.Now you're done! You can add a dropshadow or even a texture/pattern if you want.
